Our Founder
Ta'Von Amir is from Tidewater, Virginia: the beaches of Norfolk and the swamps of Chesapeake. Amir is an artist, consultant, and wordweaver who holds a baccalaureate from Colgate University, where Amir initiated the academic discipline Metaphysical Arts and studied sound art healing. Accessing points where the physical, political, and spiritual connect, Amir utilizes sound, installation art, and poetic performance as sites for individual, collective, and intergenerational healing.
Through the power of spoken word, Amir enjoys facilitating guided meditations for folks of all kinds to individually see and hear from each own’s benevolent spiritual supporters— together. Beyond weaving words, Amir is a custodian of Ifá through Ìṣẹ̀ṣe as traditionally practiced in Yorùbáland. For fun, Amir loves to sing and play the bass, especially by the water.
